Nassau County Standard Documents
R&J Abstracts retrieves copies of recorded instruments from the Nassau County Clerk's official land records index and Nassau County Surrogate's Court. All are delivered by email as a PDF attachment. Standard copies are suitable for most routine title and legal requests, including transactions, legal matters, and title file supplements, where an official certification stamp is not required.
Common requests include prior deeds, recorded mortgages, satisfactions and discharges, easements, and other instruments referenced in a title search but not in the ordering party's file.
Older instruments not available in the current index, such as historical vesting documents and older foreclosure proceedings, are held in the Nassau County Archives and require a formal requisition. Upon request, we can submit the requisition on your behalf and deliver the document once it is made available.
